In MYP Arts, you are assessed or graded on four main criteria:
A. Knowledge and Understanding do you demonstrate knowledge of the art form studied in relation to society, history, culture, etc? do you demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the elements of the art form studied (ideas, theories, processes) does your personal art work show an understanding of the art form studied in class?
B. Application
did you develop a theme or idea that communicates or expresses a specific idea? did you successfully apply skills, techniques and processes to create the work of art
C. Evaluation and Reflection did you reflect upon and evaluate your work at different stages did you evaluate your work? did you assess the work of others?
D. Attitude and personal Engagement did you show commitment in the artistic process? did you demonstrate curiosity and self motivation? did you support and encourage others? did you embrace art practices and artworks from other cultures?
